Sharing the load to help free up clients to focus on current busy workloads

SSI employees have a wide range of skills that can be utilised to achieve successful outcomes for clients. A recent job with a world leader in the rail industry highlights how SSI can bring technical expertise and dedicated focus to achieve great outcomes in a short period of time.
Contacted by the client SSI was engaged to provide technical expertise to either develop from scratch or update a wide range of documents and processes:

• Project specific business continuity documentation (including a policy level document, business impact assessment and project continuity plan)
• Project specific account management plan
• Corporate level asset management documentation (including an asset management strategy, associated procedures covering design, development, planning, manufacture, operations and maintenance, and a safe electrical work procedure)
• Associated HSEC audit tools against internal performance standards to ensure system efficiency

Due to project deadlines and external audit requirements the timeframe for delivery of these documents was tight. Whilst the client was able to undertake this work on their own it was recognised internally that the resources and time required to create this documentation and system processes was greater than what they had available to them. Employing SSI freed the client to focus on other areas of critical work, confident in the knowledge that their timeframes would be met without compromise to their current workload.

Utilising SSI’s expertise ensured that the client’s documentation and supporting tools were compliant with all applicable external and internal standards which supported the client to successfully complete their external quality audit against ISO 9001:2015.
All of the client projects were delivered under quoted and budgeted hours which then allowed the client the opportunity to utilise the SSI staff with additional work which had not initially been scoped.

Understanding the needs of the client and working in partnership with them resulted in successful outcomes for the client and SSI.
